Budget offers small businesses debt help

Despite the 2008 budget being somewhat of an anti-climax according to many financial analysts, small businesses are set to benefit significantly with many getting some much needed debt relief.

Alistair Darling announced that businesses will only have to pay 10% tax on profits of up to £1 million, meaning small businesses in particular will benefit.

The government has recently been criticised by a number of financial groups for not doing enough to help small businesses and encourage entrepreneurial endeavors.
