According to research from Abbey, nearly 25% of credit card customers will make use of a 0% interest offer in the next year, in a bid to reduce debt.
The majority of consumers will look for new deals on their credit cards in the aftermath of Christmas, when UK spending is at its height.
People aged between 25 to 34 are the most likely to look for 0% interest offers, with over a third likely to transfer an existing balance to a new credit card.
