It's been reported that the number of people in the UK filing for personal bankruptcy in 2007 might not reach the high figures that were forecast at the end of 2006.
The news comes on the back of the decision from the Bank of England to freeze the base rate, meaning less people will struggle with serious personal debt.
New figures have also shown that inflation fell to 2.7 per cent in February, down from an 11-year high of three per cent in January.
