St Albans has been outed as one of the worst areas in the UK for credit card debt, according to Experian.
Average credit card debt of £1,871 was recorded for the town pushing them ahead of many other regions in Britain.
Consumers with such debts will find it harder to reduce their arrears as the Credit Crunch continues to bite down, making it more difficult to transfer debts to financial products with less interest.
