New figures from the Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) have shown that the people most likely to need bankruptcy advice this year are those earning the highest salaries.
The group have found that those taking home the greater wages are far more likely to fall into debt as a result of spending beyond their means.
A spokesperson for the group commented: "The age group with the biggest debt is the 40 to 59 group, both genders, despite the fact that they earn the most annual incomes."
